Adducent Story Studio is where we create original fiction across multiple genres. We use our proven story development methods to craft engaging stories and books that readers love.
The Story Studio Approach
Our story studio approach begins with three genre writers (excluding multigenre writer Dennis Lowery), who specialize in the psychological thriller, crime fiction, romance, and fantasy genres, which offer strong reader demand and excellent growth potential. As we expand, we’ll add other genres that align with our Write-To-Market approach, always focusing on where reader interest and our expertise create the best opportunities.
Our genre writers craft stories that range from short fiction to full-length novels, incorporating episodic serialization when the narrative demands it.
Genre Writers
Dennis Lowery – Multigenres
Founder and president, Dennis is a multigenre writer who has ghostwritten (as of this writing) 40 books for clients. You can read more about him here and on his website.
Macy Alden – Romance and Fantasy
Folklore expert who understands why certain tales endure
Macy Alden has a Master’s in folklore and spent years collecting traditional tales. This taught her which story patterns create lasting emotional impact—knowledge she applies to romance and fantasy novels. Her academic training helps her build genuine character relationships and create fantasy elements rooted in authentic cultural traditions. Macy writes emotionally resonant Romance, Chick Lit, Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance stories that explore the tender, complicated terrain of love, identity, and reinvention, with just enough folklore to keep one foot in the mysterious. Former soldier and detective with real experience
Max Nera spent twelve years in Army surveillance, then worked as a police detective until injuries forced his retirement. Writing helped him process those experiences, and he discovered readers wanted someone with his background to provide the authentic details. Max writes about the moral choices people make when violence is part of their job. Max gravitates toward high-stakes, psychologically intense stories where danger lurks around every corner, and the protagonist must navigate a tangled web of deception, violence, and moral ambiguity. McKenna Foel – Psychological Thrillers
Former intelligence analyst who writes what she knows
After twenty years analyzing human behavior in intelligence work, McKenna Foel understands how people think under pressure. She utilizes this knowledge to craft psychological thrillers that examine the tension between personal ethics and organizational loyalty. McKenna’s characters face impossible choices within powerful institutions because she’s seen how these situations unfold. McKenna’s stories center on intergenerational secrecy, institutional silence, and the coded ways people carry trauma. Her work often explores themes of justice, identity, and the consequences of uncovering what others want to keep hidden. Read more about her and her expanded genre focus here.
How Our Story Studio Works
Our approach is straightforward:
- Develop the story concept and premise, identifying the genre and its subgenre.
- Research the market: We study what’s working in each genre before we write
- Plan the whole story: Every narrative gets a complete outline, whether it’s a short story, novel, or serialized tale
- Set realistic deadlines: Clear schedules keep projects on track from start to finish
- Draw from experience: Each genre writer’s background provides details that make the fiction feel authentic
This combination enables us to craft stories that entertain readers while distinguishing ourselves from typical genre fiction.
